Katharina Karl

Eva-Maria Katharina Karl was born in Germany, and has lived and worked in Windhoek / Namibia since 1993 with her husband and partner, master furrier Heino OH Manchen.

Following her own furrier training and her designer studies at Bielefeld College, she received several awards, among them: 1986 Germany's best furrier award, 1995 Swakara Award and 1997 J&B Rare Designer Award.

In June 1999 KK and her husband opened their own shop in Independence Avenue, Carl List Bldg. Shop 2 in Windhoek. In the same year, the first Katharina Karl Costumes collection was launched.
